Seasonal Resident ‘Experimenters’

We are always interested in collaborating with artists and arts organisation committed to progressive approaches to making, engagement and learning. Developing innovative ways of connecting the community with art and artist(s), we invite applicants to submit a proposal for our programme of seasonal, resident experiments from our online platform. You can apply if:

  • you are a visual artist/ arts organisation looking for a platform from which to explore, develop and showcase a new idea  
  • you have an interest in expanding your practice through visual arts collaboration
  • in exchange for this opportunity, you will be asked to contribute to Arts Lab’s online exhibition delivery and to become a mentor for one of our young artists for the duration of your residency

Each residency runs for 13 weeks: Autumn 1st September – 1st December; Winter 1st December – 2nd March; Spring 2nd March – 1st June; Summer 1st June – 31st August.

Arts Lab Award for Graduates & Postgraduates

In partnership with Plymouth College of Art, we offer the Arts Lab Award for graduates and postgraduates in the visual arts. This scheme commenced in June 2019, with Georgina Lewis from the Drawing, Painting & Printmaking programme being the first successful recipient.
