‘Something’s Gotta Give’ creative reset

‘Something’s Gotta Give’ creative reset

A creative reset for professionals feeling stuck, burnt out or in need of a fresh perspective.

At a time when many leaders and professionals are navigating uncertainty, increasing demands and complex challenges, Something’s Gotta Give offers a chance to step away, recharge and think differently.

Led by artist and Arts Lab Rural Peace Hub Director Sara Downham-Lotto, these unique creative awaydays take place in a beautiful rural Northumberland setting – offering space to pause, reconnect and explore new ways forward.

No artistic experience is needed. This is not about being “good at art”; it’s about using simple, guided creative processes to think more clearly, reconnect with what matters, and approach challenges with fresh eyes.

The photographs below were taken at our first workshop earlier this month, when professionals from across sectors – including CEOs, organisational leaders and academics – came together to explore creative and collaborative approaches to workplace challenges while supporting their own wellbeing.

Participants have said:
“Very useful and very timely – I had been feeling very burnt out and frustrated with my job.”

“It gave a fresh perspective on aspects of my life – and reminded me of the importance of creativity and play.”

“Exactly what I needed!! A day of free-flowing creative activity… letting go of perfectionism and predetermined outcomes. All topped off with beautiful food, location and conversation … 10/10 would recommend.”

Who is it for?
  • Especially for people who don’t see themselves as creative, but are open to trying something different.
  • The day is for anyone who feels:
  • Stuck or at a crossroads
  • Burnt out or in need of a reset
  • Creatively blocked or lacking direction
  • Curious about reconnecting with creativity
