Rural Peace Hub

CONNECTION, CONVERSATION, CREATIVE ACTION

The Rural Peace Hub, a converted farmhouse in Northumberland, is Arts Lab’s home.

It hosts artist residencies, workshops, exhibitions, and nature-based gatherings that address issues of conflict, inequality, and the climate crisis.

Through art, nature and hospitality, we connect artists, activists, and pioneering, forward-thinking individuals from a wide range of professions and organisations.

Spaces are created for meaningful connection, courageous dialogue and constructive action. Visitors learn creative and practical approaches to relationship-building and social change, and take time to reflect, recharge, and renew their impact in these consistently challenging times.

THE HUB WELCOMES VISITORS:

  • Committed to personal and professional development alongside social transformation
  • Interested in arts-based methods for community cohesion / social change / conflict transformation
  • Who are natural collaborators
  • Excited by multidisciplinary approaches
  • Curious, open to new ideas, and ready to experiment beyond comfort zones

Beautifully located on top of a hill and not far from sites like Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish borders. Highly recommended for those who love peace, art and stunning landscape. (Emilius, Holand)

The only sounds you hear are birds and sheep. Saw my first ever red squirrel, and the star gazing was wonderful. (Clive, UK)
