This was a DAISI project connecting artists, young people and their schools to support the wellbeing of students who have identified themselves as experiencing mental health issues. Sara Downham-Lotto ran a 10 week series of workshops at Kingsbridge Community College in South Devon working with 20 students aged 13-14.
Celebrating the end of the project, students and staff spent an afternoon at Arts Lab for a pop-up exhibition of their work and a collaborative messy-painting spree!
‘The film “Freedom” really captures what the students were doing and how well they engaged in the process and the experience.’
