Rural Centre for Art & Peace

The Rural Centre for Visual Art and Peace in the North Pennines, Northumberland, UK opens soon, or by appointment.

For day visits or residentials, it brings together under one roof:

  • Art studio for creative ‘messy’ practice for up to 8 participants at any one time.
  • Library of books associated with visual art and peacebuilding.
  • Permanent display of original artwork by Arts Lab’s founder, SaraDownham-Lotto.
  • Quarterly exhibitions by invited artists whose work aligns with the Arts Lab ethos.
  • Comfortable sitting, studying, discussion and dining spaces inside and outside for up to 15.
  • Spacious kitchen for shared cooking and eating for up to 15.
  • Overnight accommodation for up to 6 people.
